We often get told 'Personal Branding' is a job within itself. I don't have time for it at all.
In this article, we want to share with you a few points on how you can overcome the time problem that we all think we have.
- Don't try to dedicate time to do all the work at once. As it's something we're told is important for a business we end up seeing it as a chore for during lunch as we try to multi-task whilst dropping our food on our phone. By seeing social media as a reflective but public journal you can use the inspiration throughout the day to share lessons from your journey or give advice based on new challenges that your clients face.
- You have to value it. The traditional bosses have all said it's a complete waste of time and I want you to jump on the phone or go to other people's events. Personal branding is a powerful prospecting tool if done right can keep your pipeline full with warm leads and very quickly you can go from a nobody to industry leader status.
- No structure or formula. Personal Branding isn't just about referring clients to others or posting on social media. The reason why we're not productive or effective is that there hasn't really been any training or mentoring offered for business owners or sales teams. Just like sales, there's a formula that we like to call the 10C's which if we all followed can be the difference of 6-figures.
